Kolla vilka snyggingar jag hittade i brevlådan förra veckan! Layla Thermo Polish Effect är nagellack som ändrar färg efter kroppstemperaturen, en färg för varm, en för kall och har du långa naglar kan tippen och nagelbädden tona ut i olika färger som en gradient. Hur häftigt?!
På flaskan står det att dessa endast ska användas på lösnaglar och svaret jag fick från Layla är att när nya märken tas in till Sverige måste de godkännas innan de får säljas som vanliga nagellack, så tills dess måste det stå att de bara ska användas på naglar av konstmaterial. Jag hade det lila på mina naglar i tre dagar och märkte ingen skillnad mellan det här och andra nagellack. Nog om det, nu tittar vi närmre på lacken!

Look at these beauties I found in the mail last week! Layla Thermo Polish Effect is a nail polish that changes color, one color when you are warm or you’re in a hot environment, one color when it’s cold and if you have long nails, the tip and nail bed fade in different colors like a gradient. How cool?!
On the bottle it says that it should only be used on artificial nails and the answer I got from Layla is that when new brands is brought into Sweden, they must be approved before they can be sold as regular nail polish, without that label. I had the purple one on my nails for three days and noticed no difference between this and other nail polish. Enough about that, now let’s take a look at the polishes!

Layla Thermo Polish Effect No. 8 – Black to grey

Det här lacket var det tunnaste av de tre jag har provat och behövde tre tunna lager för full täckning. Trots att det var ganska tunt var det lättapplicerat enkelt att jobba med. Alla tre torkade halvmatt, så jag applicerade ett lager överlack för att få djupare färg och glans.

This polish had the thinnest formula of the three I’ve tried and I needed three thin coats for full coverage. Although it was quite thin, it was easy to apply and easy to work with. All three dried semi-matte, so I applied one coat of top coat to get a richer color and gloss.

Layla Thermo Polish Effect No. 6 – Violet to lilac

Åh vad jag blir sugen på glass och godis av det här lacket! Och tänk va perfekt det kommer att vara i sommar till lite solbrun hud! Formulan var helt perfekt och väldigt lättlackat, två lager var allt som behövdes för full täckning.

Oh this polish makes me crave ice cream and sweets! I think it’s gonna look awesome in summer, together with a nice tan! The formula was absolutely perfect and very easy to work with, two layers were all that were needed for full coverage.

Layla Thermo Polish Effect No. 3 – Red to yellow

Det är väl inte bara jag som tänker på isglass? Ni vet sådana man köpte som barn, långa på träpinne som alltid rispade upp tungan? Det här lacket är det som jag tycker visade mest kontrast på naglarna, där man ser gradienten väldigt tydligt. Orange och gult brukar inte funka till min hudton, men det är något med det här som gör att det faktiskt fungerar! Jag älskar det här lacket! Formulan var också bra, enkelt att applicera och krävde två lager för full täckning.

It’s not just me who thinks of popsicle? You know those you bought as a child, the super long ones on a wooden stick that always scratched the tongue? This polish is the one who showed a contrast of the gradient very clear. Orange and yellow tend to not work for my skin tone, but there’s something about this that makes it actually work! I love this polish! The formula was also great, easy to apply and I needed two coats for full coverage.

Jag är så glad att Layla skickade dessa till mig så att jag fick prova, jag har nämligen kikat på dessa ett tag men inte vågat prova efter att ha hört att färgskiftningarna syns bäst på väldigt långa naglar. (Dessutom är det ganska dyrt, 5 ml för ca 109 kr.) Som ni ser har inte jag speciellt långa naglar, men skiftningen syns ändå. Och hur som helst är det jättehäftigt när lacken skiftar färg över hela nageln! Det finns fem färger till (bl.a. ett vinrött-rött som är svinsnyggt) och jag är ruskigt sugen på att köpa allihop! I’m so glad Layla sent these to me so I could try them, because I have wanted them for a while but haven’t wanted to buy them after hearing that the gradients only shows on long nails. (Also, it is quite expensive, 5 ml for approximately 109 SEK, = 13 USD.) As you can see I don’t have especially long nails, but the gradient is visible anyway. And it’s also really cool when the polish changes color over the entire nail!
